Sometimes bad habits can be a good thing. Take, for example, the girl who puts her extensive background as a seasoned shopper to good use and decides to open a store of her very own.

Five years ago, that was the idea. And from that idea," twigs" was created.

With a background in such esoteric things as money trading, my only practical experience in this arena was years of living in (and more importantly shopping in) what I consider to be the greatest city in the world, New York. Any amount of time spent in such an environment can turn a girl with any interest in style into an über-shopper of great talent in no time at all!

After moving to Madison with my husband and three children, I decided if I was going to re-invent my life and make a move to the Midwest (where I grew up), I might as well do it full-throttle and have some fun.

Four years later, with solid success under our collective belt, and an incurable case of "what's next?" we decided it was time to take the plunge and create shoptwigs.com.
